SUVA, ( FIJI TV) — Athletes from Papua New Guinea were part of the Shop and Save Athletics Fiji weekly competition at the ANZ stadium last week.
Mowen Boino, the current Pacific Games gold medallist in the Hurdles Event and the current record holder.
Boino clocked 53.84 seconds in the Open Men’s 400m hurdles.
He was accompanied with two other colleagues who found it more economical to come and train in Fiji rather than going to Australia.
Officials believe it not only lifted the bar for competition but also preparing them for the Melanesian Games in July.
