Pan Oceanic Bank (POB) is planning to extend its services into Automatic Telling Machine (ATM), mobile and internet banking soon.
This was revealed by the POB Chief Executive Officer CEO Nihal Kekulawala during the bank’s first anniversary last weekend.
In a statement Mr Nihal said, “POB plans to extend its services throughout the country using its premium internet banking solutions through the incumbent national telecommunication service provider Solomon Telekom Company Ltd.
“Through the Solomon Telekom National networking, POB plans to roll out its ATM, mobile and internet banking, as well as debit cards and point of sales services, initially in Honiara and throughout the country later.”
He added that POB creates a culture that focuses on sustainability.
“POB plans to help create a culture that focuses on sustainable development for the country and aspires to be role model in the banking industry by adhering to the Central Banks rules and regulations.
“Our Intention is to assist in the agricultural and commercial sectors especially in rural areas from which we can raise agricultural productivity and income level for farmers.
‘Financing these key sectors will help alleviate the pressing unemployment issue here.”
POB was established and started operating its banking services in the country, 11th July 2014.
