The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has applauded the positive behaviours demonstrated by the mad football fans and supporters in Honiara during the semi-finals, losers final and the grand final of the 2015 Our Telekom S-League Championship.
Police Commander for Honiara City, Vincent U’upwe told Star Sports that they are so impressed with the level of behaviour displayed during the TSL finals.
“I would like to acknowledge the good behaviours demonstrated by the football lovers in the country during finals,’’ he said.
“Despite the huge crowd that turn up for the finals, the level of cooperation at the Lawson Tama’s gates was also very satisfactory,’’ Commander U’upwe said.
He said such behaviours should be entertained in every sports whether it be finals or just a pool games.
Members of the public also acknowledged the service RSIPF and other private securities provided during the finals.
Meanwhile Commander U’upwe appeals to all football fans and supporters to display the same attitude during the international friendly matches set to be staged at the Lawson Tama Stadium late this month between our national football team against Papua New Guinea’s national men’s team.
