POLICE arrested two men after they raided an establishment at Kuso Point and Tropican motel in Honiara on Thursday evening.
More than 150 cartons of mix Solbrew beer worth thousands of dollars were confiscated, in one of well-coordinated liquor operations.
Honiara city Acting Provincial Police Commander Mathias Lenialu praised his officers for a well done job and the support from the public.
“I urge the general public to assist police locate illegal liquor outlets as we will not stop to come after those involved in such illegal selling of liquor,” Mr Lenialu said.
“The operation, which took the RSIPF officer’s weeks in planning, was executed successfully.
“This willl be an ongoing operation that will go on into December.
“Police will step up its operation during odd hours to track and dismantle such outlets at anytime of the day,” Mr Lenialu added
Police alleged the illegal outlets have been up running over sometime.
The two accused have been dealt with and were charged with selling liquor without license, to appear before the Honiara magistrate court on a later date.
Police have stored seized liquor items on evidence at the Central Police Station.
