Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast is dissuading people from shining laser lights on incoming flights at the Henderson International Airport at night.
Mr Prendergast said it is an offence and is a very dangerous practice.
“We have some incidents recently where laser lights have been shone on incoming flights at night at the Henderson International Airport.
“Our community policing have been on the ground to conduct awareness for people in the surrounding areas at Henderson.”
Mr Prendergast urged parents, elders and individuals in those communities to get the message out that the practice of shining laser lights on incoming flights is very dangerous.
He called on the public to contact the police on 999 or 23666, if they know anyone who involved in this type of activity
