Dear Editor – The political upheaval experienced today was once and event led to the down fall of the same person Mr. Manasseh Sogavare in 2006. I realize that the GCCG government had placed Malaita Province on the front line for development and priority was for Malaita.
Some smart guys blind fold the Malaitan MPs not to see the better future for Malaita for its national projects, to only see their own families and achieve their goal in toppling the GCCG government.
CNURA came up to be the next ruling government and on its first week in power rush to Auki in a chopper and lied to the Malaita Provincial government with 6 projects worth $26 million. That was never funded and the end of the term lapsed.
I have seen the same person again on the move to remove the leader of the DCCG and for the same reason putting priority for the development of Malaita. Malaita MPs are again dragged into the pool of blindness and they will again be led by the perpetrators of the political upheaval to put Malaita again in the no development zone.
May I raise the followings:
1. Malaitan MPs should by now see that Malaita with its vast population is losing and not Hon.Sogavare. There were no developments on Malaita.
2. Malaitan MPs , in 2006 and 2015 if the motion goes through are solely blamed for the non development of Malaita Province, because they prioritize their own pockets and chose to let down Malaita.
3. If DCCG is changed will the new government ready to meet the demand of Malaita based on our new strategy of approached?
I have warned that the CNURA government and the NCRA government will not do any development in Malaita except ground breakings and it was so.
I hope the public will learn from the motion of no confidence issues that are of national interest and not just a mere personal interest.
Hon. Derek Sikua since 2007 what have you done for Malaita Province? Hon. Manepora and Hon. Auga please respond to my article and let the Malaita public know of your plan for Malaita from day one of the down fall of the DCCG? May be you have a better plan for Malaita.
Hon Bodo and Ete, you are very popular in this type of making in the past putting Solomon Islands at ransom for your own interest and not for the nation.
May I ask these two MPs what have you got for Malaita Province from November onward? The decision of the Malaita MPs on this coming motion of no confidence will put Malaita into a No development zone for another four years if they do not have a vision for Malaita Province to rescue their own people from poverty.
