OUR Telekom Network users at Dala North Community in West Kwara’ae, Malaita Province, are not happy with the current network coverage.
Reports reaching this paper said Telecommunication coverage at Dala north has been very poor and unreliable at night, since last week.
They stated that the situation has denied mobile users who wanted to access the world cup games via internet service.
It further added that the network service in the area is only active during the day and turns to emergency mode during night-time.
Former Malaita Province Assembly Member for Ward 4, Steward Mani, confirmed that the telecommunication network coverage at Dala was very poor since last week.
He said Telekom network users in the community have expressed their dissatisfaction after they could not watch the World Cup on internet.
He said coverage is only reliable during day-time.
“Since last week, mobile users at Dala north areas have experiencing low network service during night time. This has really affected those who wanted to watch world games on their mobile phones.”
“We are located close to Telekom towers at Dala South and Faifatala’a. However, the network coverage is very poor compare to past weeks,” Mr Mani said.
On that note, Mr Mani calls on our Telekom to consider the situation and upgrade network coverage in the Dala north area and other communities that are also affected.
He added that villagers have already excited with the ‘TTV Now’ apps, however the poor network coverage has denied accessibility which causes much frustration to many who want to watch their favorite World Cup teams play.
