THE two local renowned futsal clubs currently participating at the second edition of the Wantok Futsal Challenge in Vanuatu made a stunning performance at their campaign after day three of the competition.
Paramatre Kingz and Saints FC both won their opening matches since the competition kicked off on Saturday at the Wan Smol Bag sporting complex in Port Vila.
Kingz started their campaign on Saturday by narrowly edging T–United of Vanuatu 5-4 and later defeated Star Peak also from Vanuatu 4-6 on the Monday.
Saints FC despite their late arrival, managed to settle down and kicked off their mission on Monday with a positive outcome by thrashing JSVDT of New Caledonia 10-2 and later defeated Naursusum of Vanuatu 6-3 yesterday.
National Kurukuru player and Saints FC left footer Sammy Osifelo told Star Sports from Vanuatu last night that the local boys were happy with their results and feel confident to come home with a positive result.
“Despite our late arrival, the boys (Saints FC) are optimistic to end the tournament on high note,” he said.
“After achieving this first two results the boys are now confident to come back home with a positive achievement,” he added.
Meanwhile Kingz will take on A-Tupuji Majik of Vanuatu this evening while Saints have their rest day.
