THE Solomon Islands U15 team has made a positive start to their OFC Boys Development tournament campaign with an opening win against Fiji.
The U15 team came from behind to beat the Fijian national U15 side 3-2 at Nagahue reserve in Auckland, New Zealand yesterday.
The three goals were scored by Calvin Wane, Kennedy Sihiu and Patty Fox Kenimoi
This is their opening Group A match of the OFC U15 Boys Development tournament.
Solomon Islands has two more group matches to play.
Their next match will be up against Tahiti followed by the European side Liechtenstein for their final group match.
Solomon Islands U15 team is led by Coach Eddie Rukumana and SIFF Technical Director Moses Toata.
The team consists of players from the Iumi Play grassroots program sponsored by Solomon Power which was rolled out in the 10 provincial member associations of SIFF last year.
