Dear Editor – It’s political crisis again in Solomon Islands… Nothing but crisis alone.
I thought the ethnic crisis was now over, but again we have another crisis coming into our country – the political crisis which was very hard for us people to stop it because it was a crisis which the leaders of the country themself orchestrated.
Instead of working together to build this nation there were division among them.
Today in the parliament there were quarrelling, arguing, criticism, hatred, and division.
Why do all these come from? I quote from (James 4:1 says they come from your desires for pleasure, which are constantly fighting within you).
To be honest our good MPs, we did not elect you in the parliament for political crisis but to work together for the betterment of this country.
And during your campaigning you promise us development not crisis. Now you prove yourself that you are conrables not honourables.
We have division instead of unity, hatred instead of love, criticism instead of supporting etc… which are the fruits of evil spirit.
Therefore as an ordinary person I suggest three things, why these ministers move out from the government to cross the floor known as grasshoppers.
They are as follow:
i. They were not yet had enough in their pockets so they want to fill it up during lobbying time as usual.
ii. They were hungry for power to earn more than what they normally have
iii. They want to play their game of corruption within the government but it’s quite hard and the reshuffling of ministers following the low performance of their duties as ministers affects them.
Believe me or not, but that is the fact and it is normal and common for our MPs since the tension till then.
There are Political crisis every term because there is no satisfaction from our leaders.
They want things for themselves and they don’t want to share.
They were full of jealousy and start criticising each other and hating others within the same house.
Under one roof there were enemies instead of one people one nation Solomon Islands. Together we stand divided we fall.
Thank you may God bless Solomon Islands.
