Servanthood at the workplace will bring good governance, robust development and a vibrant goods and service delivery to the people.
Senior Pastor of Kingdom Harvest Ministry International Ellison Barko highlighted this during the public servants fellowship at Maranatha Hall yesterday.
“Servanthood is orchestrated by God for us to express at the work place.
“It is based on trust, honesty, sincerity, moral standards and principles.
In God’s perspective going into work place doesn’t mean to receive money, but rather is place to express the God’s life, he said.
He said when God created Adam and Eve their mandate was to express God’s life on the earth.
He quoted Genesis 1:26 which stated that God has given us the mandate to take dominion in our vacation to express godly principles and values at the workplace.
“I believe our public servants will never be the same again if we go back to the blue print of servant-hood that God has orchestrated in the beginning”
Pr Barko said why there is so much corruption and stagnant of development because everyone fail to live a servant-hood type of spirit at the work place.
“If our public servants live servant-hood, this nation should be better off already align to developed nations.
“Developed nations particularly Australia, Singapore and amongst the few reached that stage of servanthood at workplace.”
Theme of the fellowship was ‘Servant-hood at workplace.’
Governor General Sir Frank Kabui, Caretaker Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo, permanent secretaries, constitutional post holders, government dignitaries, heads of diplomatic missions and senior government officials attended the event.
A special offering was also collected which was donated to the San Isidro Care Centre, in Aruligo, North West Guadalcanal.
