THE Tu’o Gospel Church community in the Aoke-Langalanga Constituency in Malaita Province are the latest recipients of community assistance provided by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.
The assistance donated to this community included one generator, one Outboard Motor engine, two sewing machines, 40 solar lights, 100 T-shirts and 100 shorts.
The Chinese Ambassador Cai Weiming handed over these items to the Aoke-Langalanga Constituency Development Officer David Farobotomani and two other officers from the Constituency Office at the Chinese Embassy yesterday (Monday 21 October).
Ambassador said as usual, the Chinese Embassy would like to offer more help within its capacity to more local communities and bring about more tangible benefit to ordinary Solomon Islanders.
He said China is conducting a Foreign Policy of independence based on the five principles of peaceful coexistence which includes mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, mutual non-aggression, mutual non-interference in internal sovereign affairs, equality and mutual benefit.
Ambassador Cai said the Chinese foreign policy is not based on an ideology or religion but through it, China is making friends all over the world.
In response, CDO Farobotomani expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Aoke-Langalanga Constituency for the gifts.
Mr Farobotomani said these gifts will have a lasting and meaningful impact on their constituency as they will address the longstanding needs of the recipient constituents.
“We deeply appreciate the strong partnership between our constituency and the Chinese Embassy. Your support is a testament to the spirit of cooperation between our two countries.
“We look forward to furthering this relationship and continuing to work together for the betterment of our communities,” Mr Farobotomani said.
