ELECTION petition cases filed against Member of Parliament (MP) for Shortland Islands and MP for Malaita Outer Islands (MOI) Isikeli Vave Jr and Polycarp Paea have been listed for pre-trial conference on November 18.
These petition cases were mentioned before Judge Augustine Aulanga last week and were adjourned for the pre-trial conference.
The petitioners Christopher Laore and Silverio Ilaha Lepe filed the petition against MP Vave Jr for 18 Bribery allegations after they lost their bid for the Shortland Islands Constituency Seat in the April 17 National General Election.
Former Member for Malaita Outer Islands Martin Mokolo Kealoe filed the petition against MP Paea after he was unseated.
Petitioners Laore and Lepe are engaging DNS & Partners law firm, whilst the Pacific Lawyers law firm is representing Mr Paea and Mr Vave.
Mr Kealoe is engaging the JUSTLAW Attorneys.
