MALAITA Province Premier Martin Fini returned to Auki a happy man following the signing of a deal for the tar-sealing of the Auki Road in Honiara.
Solomon Star Auki caught up with Premier Fini following his arrival k from Honiara on Friday last week following the signing of a historical deal that will pave the way for the fixing of road in the Malaita Provincial Capital.
Premier Fini, who said he believes in action, expressed his satisfaction following the signing of the deal.
He said he looks forward for the implementation of the project which he believes will change the face of Auki Township upon completion.
Premier Fini thanked China and the National Government for responding positively to his Malaita New Government for Fundamental Reform’s (MNGFR’s) vision and request for the building of better roads in the Auki Township.
He said improving the Auki Road network is a top priority of the MNGFR, adding that his government wants to attract development in Malaita.
On that note, Premier Fini reiterated that MNGFR is open to any donor partner who wants to work with his government to develop Malaita for the betterment of its people and Solomon Islands at large.
Premier Fini has proven his critics who had been promoting the narrative that the Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare-led Democratic Coalition Government for Advancement wrong.
The critics have questioned the National Government’s capability in delivering Auki Road Tar-sealing project it promised MNGFR.
