THE Malaita Provincial Premier Daniel Suidani and his delegation is currently visiting sites identified to host infrastructure developments under the US SCALE Project in Malaita Province.
Speaking to Solomon Star Auki on Wednesday Premier Suidani said the two-day visit will cover North and East Malaita with a stopover at Malu’u.
Mr Suidani said his team will also travel to Manu in East Fataleka and then to Atori in East Malaita before returning to Auki on Friday this week.
He said these are the infrastructure sites that will be developed under the Green Powered Technology.
Green Powered Technology is one of the implementing partners of the US SCALE Project in Malaita Province.
Mr Suidani said the visit is significant because his team will be meeting resource owners and get feedback from these resource owners on the way forward to implementing the much needed infrastructure.
He also revealed that there is possibility that the fishery project earmarked for Malu’u will be moved to other parts of the province because Malu’u already has an existing fishery centre.
Mr Suidani said despite the COVID-19 situation in the country, US SCALE Project in Malaita is ongoing.
The premier and his delegation left Auki on Wednesday afternoon.
