Dear Editor – As the chairman of SMOPGA, I am proposing if Ministry of Agriculture Livestock (MAL) can host a workshop for all oil palm stakeholders nationwide in the earliest quarter of the year 2016.
My concern is on why oil palm projects fail. It is important to review and re-evaluate achievements and failures against why oil palm projects in the country did not get off the ground.
Key personal in MAL with regard to these mentioned projects should attend as well. It would be a form of yard stick to measure against in terms of their output.
And also to take note on how to address and resolve land disputes which is the main hindrance of any development in this country.
