The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) will soon release a provisional squad in preparation for the Third Stage of the FIFA World Qualifiers.
SIFF’s Technical Department Head and senior squad’s captain Henry Fa’arodo Jnr confirmed this to the local media, Thursday.
“A provisional list of more than 30 players will be released in two weeks’ time,’’ he said.
He said the list will be released alongside their official training schedule and calendar in preparation for third stage of the OFC’s qualifying process for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Fa’arodo added despite the provisional list and official training program is yet to be released by SIFF, the squad are still having training sessions every Tuesdays and Thursdays.
“The national team at the moment are training two days a week,’’ he said.
“They moved their sessions from SIFF Academy to Lawson Tama,’’ he said.
“Training times are every Tuesday and Thursday morning.’’
“Their training starts at 6:30 am to 8:30 am,’’ he said
The national senior squad first match for the third stage will be against Tahiti set for coming November.
