The Public Service has resumed duties on Tuesday following a joint review by the Public Service Ministry in consultation with the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet of the “Stay-at-Home” notice on Monday.
Most public officers in the non-essential services are expected to fully resume duties following the review, a statement issued by Government Communication Unit said.
This means the Public Service is expected to be fully functional by today – Wednesday 1st November due to communication issues to reach all Public Servants.
The ‘Stay-At-Home’ notice was issued over the weekend due to the unrest that threatened public safety last week and the subsequent uncertain situation over the weekend.
A “Resume-Duty Notice” was communicated to all Permanent Secretaries by the Permanent Secretary of Public Service on Monday to advise their respective staff to resume duty.
