VURA Community High School in Honiara will be hosting its school bazaar on Friday 2nd October 2015 to raise funds meet the cost of building a new two story classroom.
School principal, Allen Ketai said preparation for the school bazaar is well underway and the school is ready to host the important event this Friday at the Kukum field next to Kukum market.
Mr Ketai said currently shortage of classroom space is a problem being faced by the school.
He said construction of a new two storey classroom is aimed at alleviating the problem thus the bazaar is to help raise money meet the cost of building the new classroom.
He said the new two storey classroom building will help accommodate new students intake when the school adds on Form 6 to its academic grades.
Mr Ketai said the lack of classroom space had forced the school to accommodate a single stream class each of Forms one, two and three while there is high demand to run double stream classes if spaces are available.
He said hopefully the new classroom building will enable the school to install computer and science labs which are paramount if the school is to add on Form 6 to its grades.
Mr Ketai said cooked and uncooked food, card games and many more activities will be put on at the bazaar.
He appeals to parents, guidance and members of the public to go along and support Vura school in this worthy course.
