THE Australian Air Qantas has successfully made its first commercial flight to Honiara yesterday afternoon from Australia with 52 passengers aboard.
The Australian airline has extended its commercial fly route to Solomon Islands and will be doing business here in the country as of yesterday.
The first flight was a successful one which was welcomed by traditional warriors and panpipe entertainers.
The airlines officials and passengers were garlanded by a group of little girls with cupcakes for the passengers at the international terminal.
Qantas flights to the country will be on Sundays, Mondays and Fridays.
Air Qantas service to Honiara will provide travelers going out and coming in the country people with more airline service options.
