Dear Editor – I just want to register my support for Shirley____s thoughts on the mentioned subject. I believe what we should do now is to do a lot of educational work, teaching our people on how to vote.
Not only that, but how to identify the qualities a candidate should possess, who would lead our nation and people to a prosperous future.
It needs a concerted effort from all people who have a heart for this nation, who believe that we can turn things around.
The reports labeling our nation as the most corrupt doesn____t sound good. And as the waves take it throughout the region, people will see it and have opinions about our beloved country.
Let them say what they say.
I agree with the Prime Minister____s sentiment, reminding us that we are not that bad.
However, these are symptoms of a disease and it needs proper diagnosis, if I can use this analogy.
Our country like Shirley said needs change. That is the diagnosis this country needs in order to give it proper medication, which would lead to recovery and good health.
?We have a sick economy. But more so, leaders who are also physically sick, who in turn? make sick decisions which make this sick economy getting sicker and dying.
Yes, we need to look forward and see the future for our children.
Vision what kind of a place we want our children to live in twenty years from today.
A country with abundant resource & wealth, yet the one with poverty in the region is a shame.
Vote for change. Don____t be fooled by the handouts from MPs as they don____t last.
Change this country just one more time and let____s make this nation____s fortieth anniversary celebrations next year a dramatic turn-around for the good of its citizens.
God bless Solomon Islands from shore to shore!
