Kirakira station in Makira/Ulawa Province have had a peaceful and quiet Mother’s Day weekend.
Reports reaching the Solomon Star said the weekend was peaceful and the mothers really enjoyed their big day.
An officer from the Kirakira police station confirmed that the mothers have organized sporting activities during the weekend just to keep them busy.
“The mothers have organized a soccer knock out.
“Ngorangora village is hosting the competition.
“Apart from that, the mothers here are enjoying themselves,” the officer told this paper.
Meanwhile, attempts to get updates from other Provincial Police commanders (PPC) in other provinces was unsuccessful yesterday.
