CONTINUOUS heavy rainfall has disrupted classes in various schools in and around Auki town, Malaita province over the past days.
The heavy rain started on Wednesday night and continued till yesterday morning which stops both teachers and students from turning up at school.
Students from Auki Community High School, Auki Primary School, Aligegeo provincial secondary school and Alota’a Community High school have returned home yesterday.
Speaking to this paper a number of students confirmed that classes were suspended because of the bad weather and wet classrooms.
Apart from the students, commuters from the East road were also affected due to rising flood waters.
A village member from Kwaiafa community said, the flood level had raised making it hard for them to cross.
