PEOPLE of Reef islands, Temotu province are still waiting when the newly constructed Lomlom airstrip in Reef will be officially opened.
Lomlom airport was completed last year but the opening of the new domestic airport was delayed.
Principal of Balipaa community high school in Reef island, said Reef islanders are still waiting for the airport to officially open.
“Since the completion of the airport people is still waiting when will the service is provided,” he said.
He highlighted that people in Reef sees this as achievement to them in terms of development.
“We called on responsible people especially the government to quickly facilitate the opening of the new airport so that it provides service to us and the province as a whole,” he said
