LEADER of the Opposition group Jeremiah Manele has reiterated his call to the Prime Minster Manasseh Sogavare to sack his Special Secretary Rence Sore and the Minister of Forestry Bodo Dettke.
Mr. Manele made the call in a press conference yesterday at the Sir Paul Tovua complex in Honiara.
He said, there are serious national issues surrounding the two mention persons where he urged Mr. Sogavare to remove them from the positions that they are currently occupying under the Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) government.
Mr. Manele said, he made the call on behalf of the Opposition group based on the interest of the people and it’s up to the Mr. Sogavare to take the action or not.
He said, the more Mr Sogavare keep these two people in office the more public will lose confidence in his government and leadership.
The Opposition Leader claimed that the two people have failed to serve the people of Solomon Islands at the national level upon holding on to key positions in the current government.
“The action of Mr Sore and Mr. Dettke has highlighted the attitude of self-serving leaders who are only there for their own personal interest and not the national interest,” he said.
