Dear Editor – Following through the issue of the Hon. Premier Collin and his former ministers who vacated office, it’s very interesting, however its very shameful despite it’s a political thing.
People may say it’s politics but to me personally, I have reasons to say it’s a very shameful thing and it’s more than politics.
Somehow the political games played are too childish.
I left Rennell some 12 years ago when I was in my primary age.
The picture of Renbel headquarter at that time compared to this present time is just a couple of fraction difference to what I saw before.
I arrived at Tigoa on my Christmas holiday trip and I was shocked to see that everything is just the same as it was way back in these 12 years.
What I’m trying to say is simple. You Renbel leaders need to picture your responsibilities.
The picture of Tigoa Headquarter that I tried to paint above is the picture of our Renbel leaders who robe Renbel money belongs to the people of Rennell and Bellona.
(With due respect to our good leaders who have dedicated their hearts and rendered their effort for the Province, we salute you).
I wish if I can produce proof of Tigoa Headquarter geographical photos to the media but for now I will reserve it.
My point is, the current debate in the media about Hon. Collin (Premier) and his ministers is the same old seek and hide game that ended up in facial appearance of the head quarter that never change.
We do not really understand individual political leader’s heart and his or her thoughts within, but I agreed with Hon. Anthony’s point of view.
He mentioned something striking the same point I put across.
If we do not develop the province but developing our own businesses and house etc, we need to ask yourself, are you a leader or are you a self-employing Honourable?
I think the decision made by Hon. Anthony to withdraw is a wise decision and I want to salute you for that.
We do not encourage corruption to melt up our good reputation.
We go for what is right, simple! Sadly most people do not want to accept this value despite they are 100% guilty.
Leaders love to feed themselves, getting rich from people’s fund, struggling to get some more but the poor people still poor and getting poorer.
Anyway, everything that we sow will have its time for harvest. The quality of harvest depends very much on the quality of the seed we sowed.
Coming to realise the funds and government money that were missed used, I wondered why police have arrest people who robe money from chineese but never arrest leaders who robed people’s money?
A lot of funds drained to the Renbel Province ended up nowhere.
Solomon Game is coming up again and Hon. Anthony has a feeling about the funds for that game which Premier Collin and his new executive will rich overnight on.
PNG is a well off country but they do not manage to complete their stadium before the South Pacific Games.
What about Renbel Province? I’m afraid. Six months to go before 2018.
I suggest that the government should halt the fund and give away the Solomon Game venue to another province.
If we cannot build the provincial headquarter office complex (but budget blo hem roll over every year, where na seleni go?) for years now, how can you build a sport stadium in less than six months?
I want Premier Collin, former Premier Lence and others down the line of Premiership to picture your head office at Tupu’aki. Is that an office portraying a provincial head office?
That is why I stated earlier that your media arguments are shameful and embarrassing.
All these 21st centuary Premiers housed under a house (I should say) from the days of Hon. Ajilon Nasiu, the Colonial days.
Been to Gizo sometimes ago, I saw the new built office complex (now in use) and I just wish if Renbel Premiers and others leaders do the same to our province.
I pick up this office for a classic example out of the many under developing areas.
Collin, you might think that you are the best premier but to us watching from the distance, we can say that if Renbel is a human suffering from dengue fever, hem lo last stage of which people vomit blood and produce bloody stool. This is how severe the conditions are.
How do we know it? Simple. You know it, you see it but you never guilty about it.
My recommendation to you Hon. Collin, if you feel that you can’t which I believe you feel it already, please withdraw and allow other leaders to demonstrate their capacity but not Lence again.
