Dear Editor – We read with interest to note that the current Renbel Provincial Secretary Mr. Baiabe Peseika is under threat of losing his job as adviced from the Ministry of The Provincial Government (MPG) legal advisor.
Any Renbel person with the right thinking mind commend your (PS) effort and courage to frontline this battle against this “end of the world economic activity” (mining).
Mining for Rennell? No!
We can give APID the Golden palace of King Solomon if it was found in Rennell island, but not mining which the Renbell society deserve not to venture in.
Government authorities must show some wisdom regarding the mining issue in Rennell, considering the permanent adverse impacts to the lives of the vulnerable group (women & children) in the community.
We like to urge those who dwell within government authorities from different provinces other than Renbel to stop using Rennell mining as a fundraising drive to satisfy your political campaigns and fleshly cravings.
Your money-influenced decisions are bringing in more problems to the Renbell community and this country as a whole.
By the way we applaud and support the Renbel Provincial Secretary for his bold stand to take this illegal mining dealing to court.
