A NUMBER of Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) who recently tendered their resignations from the MARA government have reportedly wanted to reconcile with the government.
Information reaching Solomon Star Auki claimed that some of the six MPAs are now in talks with MARA government to try, reconcile and return their portfolios.
At this stage, it is unclear whether the MARA government will consider the request of those MPAs who want to come back.
Premier Suidani has already appointed six new MPAs to take up their portfolios. However, the swearing-in ceremony for the new six MPAs is being still delayed.
The Solomon Star was informed that the swearing-in of new ministers will take place anytime soon.
With that, the Malaita public want to see 33 MPAs in the Malaita Provincial Assembly to work together as the US SCALE programme is now in Malaita and needs MPAs within the MARA executive and non-executive to work together to support the implementation of the SCALE program.
