Dear Editor – “SIWIBA shift to Room 47, NPF Plaza” SIWIBA wishes to clarify a matter raised through “Man Talem Duim Watchdog” No. 253.
It was under strict directive from NPF Management that SIWIBA had to shift out from its previous location, Room 38 that we had just occupied April 2015 (last year) and took SIWIBA 1 whole month to refurbish before settling in.
According to NPF Management, the shift was very necessary to make room for Takamako to occupy that space (Room 38).
The spare room that used to be part of Takamako will accommodate the new ablution blocks for the new NPF Food Court Building.
SIWIBA has no part whatsoever in the recent shift and this move followed numerous strong negotiations with NPF towards end of last year to remain in Room 38. This move was seen by SIWIBA Board and Secretariat as an unexpected hassle that was going to set back the office in its program schedule for 2016.
We would appreciate any issue linked to Room 47 and PEA to be raised with the NPF Property Management as SIWIBA has no part or say in this arrangement.
Thank you.
Nina Tuhaika
