Dear Editor – On Tuesday 7 April 2015 the Solomon Star published a story regarding children that got sick supposedly from the milk handed out at the Rotary Club of Honiara Fun Run on Monday 6 April 2015.
The Rotary Club of Honiara would like to advise that the milk given out was all within the ‘Best By’ date (15-4-15) and had been inspected by health inspectors before it was donated and deemed safe for consumption.
The Rotary Club of Honiara apologises if any children may have had an adverse reaction to the chocolate milk handed out at the end of the run, but all reasonable measures were taken to ensure the quality of the product.
