Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) in Honiara have arrested one of the Onelink Pacifica directors on 30 March 2020 following a complaint raised by mentors and customers who are struggling to have their shares paid by the director.
Provincial Police Commander Honiara City Chief Superintendent Stanley Riolo says, “The director was arrested and has been charged with false pretense under section 308 (a) of the Penal Code and he is now in custody for further dealing.”
PPC Riolo adds, “Police are still continuing with their investigation after they recovered an amount of $100,000-00 which believed to be monies paid by the mentors to the director. The money is now under police custody.”
“Police are now working closely with the mentors to do recovery on the missing monies under the director’s custody.”
“Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department at the Central Police Station in Honiara are planning to travel to Malaita Province to follow up with witnesses in relation to the concerned director’s case,” says PPC Riolo emphasizes.
He emphasizes: “I want to urge members of the public to take heed of warnings by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands about such schemes like the Onelink Pacifica and others in past years as you will only lose your valued investment.”
