The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) congratulates the leaders and people of Choiseul Province for a peaceful motion of no-confidence in the provincial premier which was moved yesterday (22 October 2019) but withdrawn by the proposed mover during the meeting of the Choiseul Provincial Assembly.
“My officers have mounted a mini-operation in anticipation of the debate on the proposed motion of no confidence but it was withdrawn by the proposed mover when the Choiseul Provincial Assembly met yesterday (22 October),” says Provincial Police Commander, Choiseul Province, Superintendent Vincent Eria.
PPC Eria explains: “The mini operation was stood down yesterday afternoon after the motion was withdrawn. However, I would like to congratulate the leaders and the people of Choiseul Province for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner leading up the motion being tabled in the provincial assembly and its withdrawal by the mover.”
“The conduct of the leaders in Choiseul Province as well as their people is a clear manifestation of their respect for law and order in this province. As the PPC for Choiseul Province I must commend everyone for this type of behaviour,” says PPC Eria.
He adds: “Police in Choiseul Province look forward to working together with the leaders and people of this province to continue the peaceful environment that currently exists for the success of future generations.”
