THE Sports and Leadership Training (SALT) in partnership with the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) has ended a two day futsal coaching training and refereeing at the New Zealand Camp.
The futsal coaching and refereeing training started on Tuesday and ended yesterday attracting both young and old around the community.
In a statement the SALT highlighted that the New Zealand Camp program will be a role model to others who are interested in the SALT Ministry futsal development program.
“The SALT team engaged with children and youths purposely to introduce the game, and train coaches so that each community can become futsal centres instead of trying to be part of the Bulk shop league in Honiara,” the statement said.
The SALT team are willing to carry out their programs to other interested communities within Honiara to help the youths and the communities.
