Kukum SDA primary school in East Honiara on Monday successfully staged its school Mufti Day event.
The event was held at the school compound based on a theme ‘Igniting Our Dreams.’
The event saw most of the students dressed in various outfits that identified the career or profession of their interest that they wish to pursue in the future.
Even the teachers were also dressed in their outfits.
Given the public holiday yesterday most of the parents and guardians were there to support their children and teachers during the event.
One of the parents Tali Dever told the paper the school conducted the one day event as part of igniting the students in their dreams to become someone in the future.
“The students were very happy and smiled away when wearing their different costumes,” Mr Dever said.
The event saw the students wearing various outfits such as police, doctors, nurses, pilots, lawyers, captains, pastors, accountants, teachers and many more professions.
The chairman of the School Board at the close of the event acknowledged these students, parents and guardians in supporting the students to showcase their dreams through the clothes they wear.
Mr Dever said it was encouraging to see such program being organised in order to ignite the students in their dreams to become someone in the future.
The school administration also thanked all the staff, students and parents for the successful event.
