Parents told to find out at respective schools
THE ease of access to school results and widespread circulation in the public domain through newspapers will not happen.
The Ministry of Education’s NESU unit said the result are ready but will not be published in newspapers as has been the case in the past.
The Solomon Star yesterday received visitors and countless phone calls from parents enquiring about when the results will be published.
But the National Examinations Standards Unit (NESU) Director Linda D Wate when asked said the 2015 school placement results will be sent to education authorities.
“We have decided not to publish the results in newspapers. Our channel of communication to inform parents and students will be through schools and education authorities,” Mrs Wate said.
She added that newspapers can still publish the results if they want to at their own cost.
“It’s up to them but the Ministry is not paying for the results to be published in the newspapers.”
She said the Minister of Education will sign off on the results this morning after which distribution to schools will start.
