The Secondary Schools’ Sports carnival will kick off today at the St Joseph’s Tenaru sports field.
According to organizers, Athletics Solomon, two events will kick start the sports event today starting at 4pm.
The two events are the 5000meter race and the 800meter race.
The remaining track and field events will kick off tomorrow.
It is anticipated to be tough as all four schools have been gearing up preparations for this event and are eyeing to be the first to lift the overall winning trophy.
This competition comprises of four schools namely, St Josephs Tenaru, King George Sixth, Selwyn College and Betikama.
Today’s event marks the revival of the sport which has been dormant for the past 20 years.
