The Solo environment and beautification (SEB) is preparing to assist victims in Guadalcanal who have been affected by the recent flash flooding.
The asistance which will be in the form of planting materials, like cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers which is expected be delivered in the next few weeks.
The assistance is being supported by AusAID through a grant made available to support the Solo SEB’s work in the country.
In a statement during the graduation last Friday chairperson Ms Keithie Saunders said the asistance and relief supplies will be given out to the famers soon.
“This is to fast track their ability to restart their livelihood income and continue with their normal activities of farming.”
She said although they don’t usually do food production, the asistance they get from AusAID will help them with the rehabilitation program to get the farmers back on their feet.
Currently SEB is doing nursery of plants for the delivery in the coming weeks.
