A SECOND man has been arrested and charged for the arson at Windy Ridge in Central Guadalcanal in April this year.
Patken Rere was brought to the Honiara Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon for remand but was however, released on a cash bail of $1, 500.
He will appear again in court on June 17.
Rere joins Osborne Saeni, the first person arrested and charged with arson at the Windy Ridge.
They were both part of a group of people who allegedly rampaged and torched down some family homes following a brawl between two parties over land issues.
The incident occurred on April 17.
Police alleged the attacking party was from Malango, while the alleged victims were settlers from the Tasimboko who now lived in Windy Ridge area.
