A SECOND charter taking students studying at the University of the South Pacific (USP) in Fiji will leave Monday.
The first charter left Wednesday.
A spokesman from the National Training Unit (NTU) said 136 students were booked for the second charter flight.
“The flight will depart Honiara to Nadi (Fiji) Monday afternoon,” the spokesman said.
“This second charter next Monday means four more charter flights remaining out of the six proposed charters,” he said.
“This year students were sent early to school to avoid lateness as in the case of past years,” the spokesman added.
Classes at USP start February 16th.
The Solomon Star understands students booked for the first and second charters were ongoing and new intake students while those who appealed for extension, resumption of study after academic suspension and termination are still waiting for the outcome of their appeals.
However, under extension, suspension and termination category, only 200 students will be sponsored this year.
