THE Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the Solomon Cup Eddie Omokirio says security will be intense during the Solomon Cup tournament to ensure everything is running smoothly.
“For security purposes, our police will be involved to help out in security to give comfort and assurance in public,’’ Omokirio told local media on Tuesday.
He said this week our police officers were slightly engaged with some their important preparation thus they only have less numbers around Lawsom Tama.
“But as of Monday there will be tight security in and around Lawsom Tama stadium,’’ he said.
Menwhile, Omokirio said currently police are on 24 hour alert anything happens they will respond as soon as they receive calls.
“Now 24 hour alert is on, anything happen we give them a signal call police will arrive at the spot,’’ he said.
“So I would like to assure the public that our tournament should end up nicely and may the best team win,’’ he added.
