THE many excitements ahead for the Solomon Reggae Slam – the reggae party of the year will be on its peak, when the Sentinel Sound System from Germany arrives in Honiara, today.
Their arrival was confirmed for 2pm this afternoon, by the organizer Rebelle Inc.
Sentinel Sound is a one-of-a-kind musical excitement and international entertainment of Selektas (DJ) and MCs who know how to work a crowd to deliver an amazing reggae party experience.
They have won many international competitions in reggae sound system clashes and have toured all around the world bringing the party to many cities but this will be the first time, a European reggae sound system has toured the South Pacific.
In a statement yesterday, the Rebelle Inc management said whilst social media goes crazy over the upcoming show with post shares and comments, street promotions with posters and billboards, and ticket giveaways on all radio stations, it’s becoming apparent through word of mouth that the people are getting excited for the inauguration of the Solomon Reggae Slam.
The event was being scheduled for this Saturday 2nd July at the Cowboys Grill & Bar.
“Work is in full swing as there are only a few more days to go before the show and we are excited.
“We are also very happy Sentinel Sound will be arriving early to enjoy the Solomons,” stated the organizers, Rebelle Inc, whom has been working hard for the last several months to make the first of this annual event one to remember.
“It will be a massive party event for young and older adults to kick off July towards our 40th Independence celebrations and what better way than to celebrate with an international headline act, Sentinel Sound System from Germany,” the event’s organizer stated.
Tickets however is selling at SBD$100, and will increase at the gate during the show night.
“It’s very rare that any event with an international headline act will cost SBD$100 as the costs of bringing in acts from overseas are high.
“However, we try our hardest to balance our event prices so it can be enjoyed by everyone from young to old,” the organizers, Rebelle Inc stated.
Tickets are on sale at all Sullivans & Nambawan Meat Outlets.
