THE president of the Solomon Islands Sports Coalition (SISC) and the U17 Team Manager Pastor Nacanieli Seru was content with the players’ performance against the senior Kurukuru boys.
Despite the young lads went down to the senior and the Oceania champions Seru says he was pleased with the way the U17 players take on the senior national Kurukuru boys.
“If our boys can handle the senior kurukuru team like this I am sure that they ready for the OFC U17 Futsal Championship,’’ Seru told Star Sports after their final series of friendly matches yesterday.
He said the U17 boys are improving very well as they continue with their preparation.
He also said the U17 has received confirmation for their tour to Australia to have friendlies before flying over to New Zealand for the OFC U17 Championship.
Meanwhile U17 squad will represent Solomon Islands at the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) U17 Futsal Qualifiers in New Zealand.
The champion team will represent the Oceania region at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
