HERITAGE Park Hotel car park turned into a dance floor on Sunday night during the one night show by Jamaican musical star – Shaggy.
The show got most of the people in the crowd crazy as they danced from the start of show until the end of the 90 minutes concert. Hundreds jammed packed the car park for shaggy first ever live concert in Honiara.
Before sun set, the car park was already packed with entertainment coming from the DJ.
As the reggae-hall star enters the stage at 7:57pm the crowd went crazy as the Jamaican reggae artist fire up the stage with his electric performance.
Shaggy gave his first international dancehall song ‘Boombatic’, which sets the car park into a wild live music concert.
Dressed in white and black longhand shirt and black long pants with black cap, the crowd went wild for this music superstar.
Shaggy made a shout to his local fans saying Solomon Islands is a place like to party.
He instructed one of his DJ crew to warm up the crowd and showed them what they got.
He told the crowd it is much cooler to hear them scream and continues with his songs like angel, strength of a woman, bonafi girl and summer time.
It was definitely a better concert for this year especially for shaggy’s fans and the organisers.
Ticket winner Lolofi Radave said it was surprising to meet shaggy.
“I’ve looked forward to his concert. I’m a biggest fan of shaggy, my favourite songs are ‘Sugar and Angel’.”
All his songs on that night were instantly recognisable.
The master of entertainment didn’t disappoint the crowd until the show ends.
Shaggy leaves today to perform in Port Moresby.
