LOCAL talented musician known as Sharzy will perform at the Solomon Islands Student Association (SISA) night at the Divine Word University (DWU) campus in Madang this coming Saturday – 30th May.
Sharzy said, he was invited by Nuigini club to perform with Riki Kali a talented artist in PNG.
“I was on business tour but it was my own intention to assist SI students in their fundraising effort for this weekend.”
Sharzy is well known in PNG of his international flavour style of music on tok pidgin songs such as “mi no maret”
“I will be featuring some of my songs in PNG dialects and in tok pidgin,” he said.
Solomon Islands Students Association (SISA) president John Iro said, they’re so proud to have Sharzy coming to perform in DWU.
The Solomon Islands students are also gearing up preparation on cultural dances representing nine provinces in the country.
Some PNG students will join SI students for cultural dance which shows a true Melanesian spirit and solidarity.
Bougainville has indicated their interest to perform their item at that night as well.
The presence of Sharzy is expected to pack the the SVD auditorium and make it feel with aura, attracting the students and the public to come out in numbers and enjoy the night.
This year was a second SI nite, the first nite was held in 2013. The one program will start at 8pm and will end at 9pm.
