Dear Editor – Grateful if my letter could be slotted in your paper at anytime convenient. I would like to raise a concern regarding short bus routes.
If my memory serves me right, there was a petition presented to members of parliament to look into and come up with ways whereby this short bus route issue can be address.
Until now, nothing has happened and people continue to suffer.
The short bus route is giving people a hard time. How can we improve on transport efficiency for the public? This is a big issue that should be taken up seriously by our leaders and must not be ignored.
Where is the report now? Can you do something about it please? Every morning and evening is the same for the travelling public.
Can we bring this issue back on the table please because the difficulty caused is never ending for commuters and students?
Can our leaders regulate transport services so that the public need in transportation is adequately dealt with?
No to short bus routes. This is made worst by the involvement of Asians in this business. They employ local drivers and put targets each day. When a driver reaches that target, whatever is collected after that belongs to the driver and the Bus Conductor. This is really fuelling the struggle to reach targets each day resulting in these short bus routes. Something has to be done here.
Somebody do something please!
