AN Open Shot Put Challenge is set for this Saturday at the Multipurpose Hall.
Junior Anisi from Athletics Solomon said the competition is part of the athletics preparation for Mini Games in Vanuatu, December 2017.
“We will be selecting best players from this competition to join our training squad in preparation for the Vanuatu Mini Games.
“The entry fee for the competition is free for those who would like to participate.
“We will be offering cash prizes for winners of the competition.
“First prize is $500, second $300 and third $200.
He said registration will open on Saturday July 29th from 8am to 10am.
“Competition will kick off after the registration at 10 am,” he said.
Meanwhile, members of the public both male and female are welcome to compete in the one day competition.
