TRADE Pasifika has confirmed that about 100 exhibitors will showcase niche products at this year’s exhibition in Suva.
The event, which is scheduled for April 2-4 at the Vodafone Arena, will feature 60 buyers from as far as China, Malaysia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Abu Dhabi and the Pacific region.
Compared to 2012, the number of exhibitors at the 2014 Trade Pasifika event has doubled.
Trade Pasifika 2014 ambassador Kaliopate Tavola said the event attracted government delegations and the private sector from other countries.
Mr Tavola said they were pleased with the state of preparations leading up to the three-day event in the Capital City.
With the theme “Exporting for Growth — It’s Everyone’s Business”, the exhibition features an array of agriculture, aquaculture and tourism products in the Pacific.
“Everything is under control and in 12 days’ time, Trade Pasifika will start and it will start very well. We are very much prepared than we were in 2012 and it’s going to be bigger,” he said Saturday.
Trade Pasifika was also working with Investment Fiji to secure buyers from overseas.
