Solomon Islands and New Zealand convened their annual High-Level Consultation (HLC) on Thursday, November 7, 2024, in Honiara.
Senior officials from both nations attended, with Solomon Islands delegation led by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Collin Beck.
This consultation provided an important platform for the two countries to discuss and enhance cooperation in key areas, including aviation, fisheries, Bina Harbour, trade, climate and environment, education, and security.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to deepen the partnership and cooperation between the Solomon Islands and New Zealand.
This year’s HLC builds upon the progress made in last year’s consultation, which took place in Wellington, New Zealand.
