SOLOMON Islands U-19 Women’s National Team will compete for a qualifying spot at the OFC U-19 Women’s Championship 2025 – Qualifying – in Tonga, scheduled for March 7 to13.
The official draw for the tournament was conducted yesterday by the OFC in Auckland, New Zealand, and it determined that the Solomon Islands U-19 Women’s Team will play against hosts Tonga and also American Samoa in the qualifying stage.
The successful team in the qualifying campaign will secure a place in Group A of the main tournament alongside Fiji, Samoa and Cook Islands. Group B line-up includes New Zealand, Vanuatu, Tahiti and New Caledonia.
The OFC U-19 Women’s Championship 2025 will take place in Tahiti from September 21 to October 4
Meanwhile, upon the conducting of the draw yesterday by OFC, The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) has confirmed to Solomon Star that the U-19 Women’s Team have resumed training last week after the festive season break.
SIFF also confirmed that the final travelling squad will be announced soon to represent the country at the qualifying tournament.
