SOLOMON Islands Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SICCI) is robustly joining the national government to fight against Covid-19’s entry to SI and promote vaccination coverage across the nation.
SICCI Chairman Ricky Fuo’o assured Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare and his government during the SICCI Business Excellence Award (BEA) night at Coral Sea Resort & Casino on Saturday night that the government is not alone in this fight.
“SICCI this year join the call to fight against Covid-19 and promote vaccination coverage.
“We are with you in this fight against Covid-19 PM Manasseh Sogavare,” he said.
Mr. Fuo’o humbly calls on those who yet to get their vaccination to come forward and take their vaccination.
He stressed that it is important for all to be vaccinated so that the country’s borders will be open for the sake of economy recovering.
“For those who have get your vaccination thank you and for those who are yet to get your vaccination I would like to encourage you please get vaccinated because that is only the way we can open up our borders for our economy recovering,” he said.
SICCI has realised and it obvious to all business throughout the country that the pandemic has cause havoc to all businesses both large and small.
Thus, Mr. Fuo’o highlighted the significant partnership of SICCI with the national government under two significant MOU that were both signed by PM Sogavare.
The SICCI chair said the significant of partnership between SICCI and the national government under the MOU which was first signed in 2017 by PM Manasseh Sogavare and was renewed again in 2020 by PM Sogavare were significant and important.
“Two separate terms and two separate MOU are both signed by PM Sogavare, thank you Hon Manasseh Sogavare,” he said.
Mr. Fuo’o never specifically mentioned the two MOU.
